Install the Tirs extension

Tirs lives in your browser as a Chrome extension. Once it's installed and you're signed in, capturing a bug — with the video, console logs, network requests, and environment details attached — is one click away. This guide walks you through installing the extension, pinning it to your toolbar, and signing in to your workspace.

Install from the Chrome Web Store

1. Open the Chrome Web Store and search for "Tirs", or use the install link on tirs.dev.
2. Click "Add to Chrome".
3. When Chrome asks you to confirm, click "Add extension".

The extension needs permission to capture your screen and read page activity — that's how it collects the video, console, and network context. Nothing is uploaded until you save a capture, and sensitive fields like passwords and card numbers are masked before anything leaves your browser.

Pin it to your toolbar

1. Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar.
2. Find Tirs in the list and click the pin icon.

The Tirs icon now sits in your toolbar permanently. One click opens the popup — which matters, because the best time to report a bug is the second you see it.

Sign in to your workspace

1. Click the Tirs icon in your toolbar.
2. Choose sign in. A sign-in window opens at app.tirs.dev.
3. Sign in with your workspace account.
4. Return to the popup — you're connected, and every capture you save from now on lands in your workspace.

Inside the popup

The popup is deliberately simple: two capture modes at the top, three actions below them.

Capture modes

• Current Tab — captures only the tab you're on. The right choice for most bugs.
• Window / Screen — captures a whole window or your entire screen. Use it when the problem spans more than one tab or app.

The three actions

• Start Recording — records from this moment forward.
• Rewind — captures the last moments retroactively. Enable it once per site; from then on your browser keeps a rolling buffer there, so the bug you just saw is already saved.
• Capture Screenshot (coming soon) — a single frame, with the full technical context still attached.

Using Edge?

Tirs also works on Microsoft Edge and other Chromium-based browsers. Install it from the Chrome Web Store inside Edge — allow extensions from other stores if prompted — and everything works exactly the same way.
